Privacy policy

This site is run by the Fare & Square Family, based in Romania (European Union). Contact: fareandsquarefamily@gmail.com. We collect as little as we can.

What we collect and why

• Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.
• Clicks on affiliate links. When you click a link that starts with /go/, we count the click and the page it came from. We don't store who you are. The company you go to (for example Booking.com) may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe, we keep your email address, the page you subscribed from and which emails you open, using Kit (kit.com). Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
• Purchases. If you buy an itinerary, the shop provider (Payhip or Etsy) processes your payment and sends us your name, email and order details, which we keep for accounting as the law requires.
• Emails you send us. We keep them to answer you.
• Maps of places to stay. The Stay22 map loads only when you press the button. After that, Stay22's privacy policy applies, and if you book through it we may earn a commission.
• Embedded videos. YouTube videos load only when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. After that, Google's privacy policy applies.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how we use it. Write to fareandsquarefamily@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).
